This practice is compliant with the Data Protection Act. Patient information can only be accessed by members of the Practice Primary Care team who have a need to know medical details in order to help that patient. Patient confidentiality is considered of prime importance and any breech thereof is considered to be a significant event which will be investigated.
At times it may be necessary to share relevant information with another sector of the health service for example Secondary Care when a referral is made for further care.
