Appointments

Routine booked appointments with the doctor of the patient’s choice last 10 minutes and can be made by contacting the surgery to arrange a telephone consultation with a Doctor.   Please be advised that our receptionists cannot book face to face appointments without the patient initially speaking to the Doctor.  Consultations run from 9.00 – 11.00am and 3.30 – 5.20pm. Patients who are unable to keep this booked appointment must cancel it. If a patient has a medically urgent problem which will not wait for the next available appointment they will be seen by the first available doctor.

Home visits

If you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home, please call the surgery before 10am. Home visits take up much more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile you are expected to come into the surgery to be seen.

Telephone times to speak to a doctor –

Routine telephone consultations are available from 8:30am each morning Monday to Friday.

Please note that Drs have specific telephone slots available from 8:30am and when these slots are used up you may be asked to contact the surgery the next working day.  The Doctor on call is available to speak patients at other times during the working day for URGENT CALLS ONLY.

DNA’s – Patients who do not attend

The Practice operates a policy for patients who fail to attend for booked appointments (DNA – Did not attend).

If you cannot attend your surgery appointment please do let us know as soon as possible by telephoning the surgery on 028 3832 7834.

Your appointment can then be allocated to someone else. Repeated offenders can expect a warning followed by removal from the list.
